The Project

This was a large project involving getting 2 large industrial units (units 22 and 23) back to a habitable state after being damaged in a fire.

The tenant, Medica Packaging, were anxious to move back into the premises as soon as possible to continue their operations.

Requirements:

  • Stripping out of all internals, kitchens, offices, toilets, removing partition walls, breaking out the damaged floors and the disconnection of all electrics. This was followed by removing all remaining debris and re-concreting the floors.
  • Unit 23’s roof was removed and replaced, including fire protecting the steel work. The block work walls were then replaced and re-pointed.
  • Work then commenced the ground floor offices. Having performed a first fix on the electrics we then plastered and skimmed the walls and ceilings for the offices.
  • Finally, we painted all areas, second fixed the electrics, installed a new air conditioning system and generally made good.

“The work was to the highest standards and we would not hesitate to use the services of Construction Linx again”.

Problem Solved

The tenant, Medica Packaging, were anxious to move back into the premises as soon as possible to minimise the impact on their operations.
We assisted in helping them spread their operations over the two units. By carefully planning the schedule of works we ensured jobs such as roofing or flooring were done in sequence. This allowed Medica to and spread themselves between the two units and meant business could be disrupted as little as possible
